Mixed Group Class
Mixed Group Class is a general martial arts training and conditioning class open to all students enrolled in our Adult Group, Children's Group, Family and Friends, and Private Instruction programs. All belt rankings are welcome in each class, which provides opportunity for junior students to gain experience working with more advanced practitioners. Attendees have plenty of opportunity to interact with other students in various drills and skill development exercises - something that is not always available in Private Instruction, for example.
These classes may focus on some belt curriculum material, but in general the classes strive to improve fundamental kicking, blocking, striking, and movement skills and provide an excellent way to increase your strength, endurance, stretch, timing, and coordination.
Classes are generally divided into three sections, roughly 20 minutes each - though this can and does vary greatly from one class to the next. The three sections are:
General conditioning - strength and endurance training
Essential skills development - work on essential kicking, striking, blocking and movement skills
Manipulation, sparring, and other hands-on practice working with other students.
These classes are intended to help students build endurance and strength while working with others to develop essential timing, coordination, and contact skills. These are very popular classes due in part to both their conditioning and interactive components.

Mixed Group classes are free for students in our Adult Group, Children's Group, Private Instruction, and the Family and Friends programs. These classes are not open to outside enrollment.
